Child Safety Standards

Last Updated: 2026-08-26

ChargeHive EV Social Club is an invite-only community for electric-vehicle owners, hosts and dealers, operated by Lotus Scientific Solutions. This page sets out the standard we hold ourselves to on child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) — what we prohibit, how anyone can report a concern, and what we do when one is raised.

We publish it because a community that takes this seriously should be willing to say so in public, and to be held to it.

We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. There is no context, framing, or claimed intent under which such material or conduct is permitted on our service.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact the police first. In India, call 1098 (Childline) or 112 (emergency), or file a report at cybercrime.gov.in. Reporting to us is not a substitute for contacting the authorities.

1. Who may use the service

ChargeHive EV Social Club is restricted to adults aged 18 years or older. The service is not directed to children and we do not knowingly permit anyone under 18 to hold an account.

Registration is closed. Accounts cannot be created freely: every member must be individually approved by our team before an account can exist, and each approval is tied to a single verified email address. This is our primary preventative control — it means the community is not open to anonymous or automated sign-up, which materially reduces the risk of predatory accounts.

If we learn that an account holder is under 18, we terminate the account and delete the associated content and personal data.

2. Prohibited conduct

The following are strictly prohibited and result in immediate removal:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — any visual, written or audio depiction of a minor in a sexual context, real, drawn, animated or synthetically generated.
  • Grooming and solicitation — contacting, befriending or building trust with a minor for sexual purposes, including requesting images, contact details, or an offline meeting.
  • Sexualisation of minors — content that emphasises or frames a minor in a sexualised way, whether or not nudity is present.
  • Sextortion — threatening to publish intimate imagery of a minor to obtain money, further imagery, or compliance.
  • Trafficking and facilitation — advertising, arranging or promoting the sexual exploitation of a minor.
  • Off-platform links — linking to, advertising, or directing users toward any of the above hosted elsewhere.

3. How to report a child safety concern

In the app

Every piece of user-generated content in ChargeHive EV Social Club — posts (Vibes), videos (Bangers), Minds, comments, community room posts and member profiles — carries a report control. Choose “Child safety concern (CSAE)” as the reason.

A child safety report is treated differently from every other report type: it does not wait for a threshold of additional reports. A single report immediately hides the reported content from the community, flags it as critical, and places it at the top of our moderation queue.

The same reporting flow is also reachable directly from Settings → Child Safety in the app, so a concern can be raised without first locating the content.

On the web

Anyone — including people who do not hold an account — can report a child safety concern using the form at the bottom of this page. Reports submitted here reach the same moderation queue as in-app reports.

Submitting the form returns a case reference straight away — for example CSAE-2026-0001. It is recorded against the report our Trust & Safety team sees, so quoting it in a follow-up email identifies your case without you having to describe it again.

By email

Reports may also be sent directly to our designated child safety point of contact at kanishqraj@live.com.

4. How we respond

  • Immediately on report — the content is hidden from all users except its author and marked as under review.
  • Within 24 hours — a trained reviewer on our Trust & Safety team assesses the report.
  • On confirmation — the content is permanently removed, the account is terminated, and the account holder is barred from the approved-member directory so they cannot register again.
  • Evidence preservation — the content, account records and associated metadata are preserved for law enforcement rather than silently deleted.
  • Escalation — the case is reported to the relevant authorities, and the date and reference number of that filing are recorded against the case.

5. Reporting to authorities

We report apparent child sexual abuse material and credible child safety threats to the appropriate regional and national authorities. For our operations in India this means:

  • The National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in) operated by the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the local police having jurisdiction.
  • The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline, where the content or account has an international nexus.

We comply with the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, including the obligation to act on unlawful content within the timelines those rules prescribe.

6. Preventative measures

  • Closed registration — every member is manually approved before an account exists.
  • An 18+ age requirement stated in our Terms and enforced on removal.
  • Reporting controls on every user-generated content surface in the app.
  • Automatic hiding of content that reaches a report threshold, and instant hiding for child safety reports regardless of threshold.
  • A moderation queue reviewed by our Trust & Safety team, with child safety cases pinned to the top.
  • Permanent revocation of community access for confirmed violations.

7. Designated point of contact

Our designated point of contact for child safety and CSAE matters is available to discuss our CSAM prevention practices and compliance with regulators, platforms and law enforcement.
